What Happened to the New Year?
Or to be more precise – what happened to those New Year Resolutions?
New Year Resolutions are made on New Year because it’s a magical, sparkly time that’s ever so convenient to allow ourselves to think about what we want.
But you already know that resolutions can be made at any time of the year. They are a statement of intention; goals. A bit of action behind the intention gets you on your way. A wise soul once said that spending 5 minutes every single day towards your goal helps you stay focused and little by little, you get there.
I don’t usually make any New Year Resolutions but this year I thought it would be nice to learn how to make a website in Joomla – I confess, I only started last month but since I started, I’ve been spending some time on it every day and am no longer a newbie! I may even have the new site up this side of Christmas.
How are you getting on with your resolutions? Leave a comment below and help encourage those who haven’t started theirs yet!
In the meantime, here are a couple of interesting sites to browse.
The Art of Nonconformity – A home for remarkable people doing remarkable things. Chris Guillebeau chronicles his battles against conventional beliefs. He is currently on a quest to travel to every country in the world
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) – Devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, TED contains an ever-growing collection of videos from speakers around the world. They award an annual prize to three people with a vision to transform the world
